Earlier this season Grey’s Anatomy was home to William Daniels, the voice of KITT from Knight Rider, and now the guy inside the car is coming to Seattle Grace/Mercy West. Thankfully I’m not referring to the Hoff.
Justin Bruening, who played the lead in NBC’s remake of Knight Rider, will be joining the cast of Grey’s Anatomy for several episodes starting in early 2013. He’ll play a paramedic working with several of the doctors (let’s hope he doesn’t have a swastika tattooed on his stomach). Given his good looks, it’s a safe bet he’ll be canoodling with one of the doctors very quickly. But which one?
He could easily serve as a third point in a love triangle with April and Jackson, though Jackson always seems to be stuck in love triangle territory (see Mark and Lexie). Bruening’s paramedic could also serve as a palette cleanser for Cristina now that Owen wants a divorce. Realistically those are the only two romantic options for Bruening’s character, unless Karev decides to come out of the closet.
Aside from Knight Rider, Bruening has recently had recurring roles on the CW’s Ringer where he romanced one of the two characters played by Sarah Michelle Gellar and Switched at Birth where he played Chef Jeff who hooked up with high school student Daphne and Daphne’s best friend’s mom, Melody.
Are you excited for Bruening to add a little more eye candy to the halls of the Grey’s Anatomy hospital? Who do you want to see his character hook up with?
