A doctor from St. Elsewhere is coming to Seattle Grace. Mr. Feeny is about to give some advice to Cristina Yang. The voice of KITT will drive into Grey’s Anatomy. And I say vote “Yes” for independency, and this casting news.
According to TVLine, the legendary Emmy winner William Daniels will guest star on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy at the end of this season, playing a proctor for Cristina during her medical boards. This marks the first acting role for Daniels since playing a judge on a 2008 episode of Boston Legal.
Everybody knows and loves Daniels, and he’s one of those rare actors who has several iconic roles.
He won two Emmy Awards in the 1980s for playing Dr. Mark Craig on St. Elsewhere.
He provided the voice of KITT from the original Knight Rider.
Younger fans loved him as the wise teacher and neighbor Mr. Feeny on Boy Meets World.
And he sang his heart out as John Adams in the wonderful film adaptation of the musical 1776.
Those are four remarkable and memorable roles, and now Daniels is bringing his talents to Grey’s Anatomy. So the question remains, what’s your favorite William Daniels role?
