The big story yesterday on the Grey’s Anatomy front was actor T.R. Knight coming out of the closet. Knight’s announcement was seemingly random in its timing. Why would that be?
Is there something shady afoot? Could last week’s dust-up between Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey have anything to do with Knight’s public “outing”?
Here’s a look at the situation from TMZ.com. I’ll admit that, if true, this is a truly weird way to have to out yourself. Knight, who plays Dr. O’Malley on Grey’s, didn’t seem to be bothered too much by the situation; his quotes were weirdly subdued. Regardless, on a strictly PR level, I supposes this story is a good distraction from the almost-brawl that occurred last week.
In other news, last night’s Grey’s Anatomy was plenty good and it, in a way, rebooted the season, tying up some loose ends and readying the characters for the rest of the season.
