Warning: Spoilers ahead!!!
As of this moment, there’s no word yet on when “The Rough Patch” will air but the network has revealed that Thicke will be appearing as himself on How I Met Your Mother when Lily (Alyson Hannigan) calls him for help in attempt to break up Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin (Cobie Smulders) after they hit a rough patch in their relationship.
True blue How I Met Your Mother fans would recall that Thicke has already appeared on How I Met Your Mother before, specifically in “Sandcastles in the Sand,” the 16th episode of the third season where Robin rekindles a spark with an old flame, but he ends up breaking her heart again. Thicke made a cameo as Robin’s father in the Robin’s second Robin Sparkles Sandcastles in the Sand music video, where 80s star Tiffany also appeared.
Most recently, Thicke appeared as Jim Jarlewski on the television series iPod and as Rich Ginger on daytime soap The Bold and the Beautiful. He was also cast in movies such as The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard and the upcoming medical comedy feature RoboDoc, which is about a medical malpractice attorney who’s never met a doctor he couldn’t sue until now. RoboDoc stars David Faustino, William Haze and Corin Nemec, just to name a few, and hits theaters on November 10.
