If anyone said that too much Miley Cyrus was dangerous to your health, they’re definitely spot-on. It’s not about eating the teen queen herself (heaven forbid), but a particular line of products she’s introduced to the world.
Recently, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Peanut Corporation of America have issued a safety recall of Disney’s Hannah Montana Peanut Chocolate Granola Bars. Due to their possible salmonella contamination, they’ve become part of the wide range of nut products plaguing the year 2009.
While this may affect consumers of Hannah Montana granola bars, the actual person who owns the face on the packaging won’t be harmed by the recall at all. Miley’s already had greater success in her other endeavors; barely anyone knows about these snacks until now. Surely taking them off the shelves won’t stop the Miley madness.
Besides, Cyrus didn’t even have anything to do with the food production. She smiles once, it’s duplicated for every piece, and the snacks are sold. That is, until the salmonella scare.
If Miley’s going to make yet another big announcement regarding this, it means she’s taking all these issues a bit too seriously. But then again, she does want the attention. Just yesterday, the paparazzi spotted her in a juice bar with her mother, Tish Cyrus. A female customer asked how they knew the star would be there, and the press responded, “They call us.”
Apparently, several celebrities really do enjoy being tailed by the media. There’s Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton, as well as couples like Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. But even so, Miley’s case stands out as she still spends a lot of time complaining about the paparazzi.
Oddly enough, this calls to mind one of her past interviews, when Miley Cyrus was quoted saying “I don’t get why people are allowed to take pictures and make them something they’re not, but I guess that’s just how their job works and how they’ll make the most money.” These may be two contrasting viewpoints, but we can’t blame them for doing their “jobs.”
