It’s Tuesday, Tuesday, and Rebecca Black’s gotta get down on Tuesday, because today is her birthday. The Internet pop sensation, who earned over 167 million viewers on YouTube with her awesomely auto-tuned anthem “Friday” before it was tragically taken down, turns 14 today, June 21, and what better way to celebrate than with a little dose of “Friday.”
Who else has to make their mind up about what seat to take today? Well, Rebecca Black shares her birthday with a number of notable celebrities, including the newly married Prince William, American Idol winner Kris Allen, Smallville‘s Erica Durance, Parks and Recreation‘s Chris Pratt and The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers.
To honor Black and her fellow June 21 birthday party people, here is a little treat. The original “Friday” may be off YouTube, but we’ve still got Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon’s fantastic version, as well as a crowd-pleasing live performance of the instant classic by Nick Jonas.
So grab your bowl, grab your cereal, and celebrate “Friday” on Tuesday for a girl who became one of the unlikeliest one-hit wonders of all-time. Happy birthday, Rebecca Black.
