Born on August 19, 1969 in Massachusetts, Matthew Perry attended Rockcliffe Park Public School, Lisgar Collegiate Institute and studied at Ashbury College where he was exposed to acting. He started his acting career by landing minor and guest roles on television. His first lead role was on the television series Second Chances. And although the series was short-lived, he became exposed and noticed on the entertainment scene. As an actor, he was popularly known for his role as Chandler Bing on the renowned comedy series Friends. His other acting credits included Fools Rush In, The Ron Clark Story, The West Wing, Serving Sara, Three to Tango and The Whole Nine Yards to name a few.
