Born on March 20, 1974 in Meddelin, Columbia, Paula Garces started out doing commercials. Following this, she pursued a career in kickboxing and even became a personal trainer in New York City. Eventually, she entered show business professionally and landed roles in movies like Spin, Dangerous Minds, Harold & Kumar 2, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Clockstoppers and Man of the House. She also appeared on television shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and The Sopranos.
Garces plays Tina Hanlon on the FX Network’s The Shield. She portrays a rookie police officer that has a tendency to make mistakes while on duty. This exotic beauty definitely gives life to the police drama with her playful yet fierce presence.
