Tonight on the season 5 finale of House, a patient comes in whose left and right sides of the brain compete for dominance. As a result, Scott (guest star Ashton Holmes) is left with two distinct personalities and at times with no control over some of his actions. Things become worse as his conflicting personalities make it increasingly difficult for House (Hugh Laurie) and the rest of the team to figure out just what is causing the unusual condition. Running out of choices, they are forced to use some new methods to get him to cooperate with the tests that need to be done. As for House and his bout with insomnia and hallucinations, Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) likewise takes on an unconventional approach to force him to make up the time with patient Eugene Schwartz (guest star Carl Reiner).
Previously on House, our favorite enigmatic doctor and his team encountered the case of a ballerina (guest star Jamie Tisdale) whose lungs collapsed during a rehearsal. Her skin started falling off as a result of some of the treatments, and she faced the prospect of never dancing again. For his part, House continued his bout with the hallucinations, and he was forced to do something desperate.
We previously reported that the House crew was spotted filming at the massive old Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, fueling speculations that House is possibly going to the deep end. Fox said the crew was there to shoot background scenes for next season, and they’re set to turn the facility into the fictional Mayfield Psychiatric Hospital.
House also stars Omar Epps as Dr. Eric Foreman, Robert Sean Leonard as Dr. James Wilson, Jennifer Morrison as Dr. Allison Cameron, Jesse Spencer as Dr. Robert Chase, Peter Jacobson as Dr. Chris Taub, and Olivia Wilde as Thirteen
