How I Met Your Mother fans will soon hear wedding bells when the show officially releases The Wedding Bride in May. The screenplay, to refresh your memory, is Tony’s hit movie about a love triangle and the events that led him to win back Stella from Ted.
Ever since How I Met Your Mother hinted on the release of The Wedding Bride, fans started to speculate whether Stella (Sarah Chalke) will eventually resurface on canvas. Unfortunately, that issue still hasn’t been resolved. The good news, however, is that Entertainment Weekly has revealed the movie’s star-studded cast.
Who will play Ted? Chris Kattan, most famous for his work on Saturday Night Live and most recently on The Middle, will be taking on the role of Ted only this time Ted’s name will be renamed Jed Moseley in the movie.
As for Tony and Stella? Jason Lewis of Sex and the City and Watchmen actress Malin Akerman will be playing the characters respectively.
Who else is guest starring? This special How I Met Your Mother episode, which airs on May 17, also features Judy Greer, who most recently appeared on Modern Family, as Ted’s date to the premiere of the movie.
