Hey Idol fans! Still sad that Chris Medina’s gone? He’s not! Want Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga to perform on the results shows? You got it! Oh, and if you think that pre-taping the live shows is manipulating American Idol then Nigel Lythgoe thinks you’re a moron.
Chris Medina releases “What Are Words”
Chris Medina, who caused Jennifer Lopez a lot of grief when she had to eliminate him from the Top 24, is just getting started. He has released a song, entitled, “What Are Words,” recorded by 19 Recordings/Interscope and written by Rodney Jerkins. It is, predictably, about the story that touched everyone in his audition. You can listen to the song here. It’s pretty!
On his radio show, Ryan Seacrest also presented Medina with $35,000 toward the foundation helping his fiancee recover. [PerezHilton]
Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga to perform on American Idol
And so it begins! Adam Lambert is scheduled to perform an acoustic version of his song, “Aftermath” on next week’s results show. Proceeds from downloading the single on iTunes will go to support The Trevor Project.
Lady Gaga is scheduled to perform on the show’s finale! It’s a long way off, but it might give you something to look forward to. [Rumor Fix]
Nigel Lythgoe still tweeting stuff in all-caps.
In Twitter news, Nigel Lythgoe is back to tweeting like a Bieber fan, or some other brand of hysterical teenager. The next two weeks’ worth of performances will be pre-taped, which apparently led to some sort of Twitter uproar. Nigel had this to say:
Later on, he admitted to Twitter that some of his favorites, Lauren Turner and Kendra Chantelle, did not make it through, and tried to save face for the “TRUE fans.”
Are you a TRUE fan or a MORON? Either way, are you excited to see Adam Lambert again? How do you like Chris Medina’s single?

Originally from Seattle, Carla recently took a husband and moved to Austin, Texas, where she is finally using her television “problem” to her advantage. It’s sort of like Dexter, but boring and less murdering. Carla’s favorite shows include 30 Rock, The Amazing Race, Project Runway, Modern Family, anything with murder, and pretty much anything gross and weird (CSI, The Bachelor, Toddlers & Tiaras, etc.). Favorite canceled shows include: Arrested Development, Veronica Mars and Average Joe. In her spare time, Carla leads tours of downtown Austin on a Segway (don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it!), blogs about Netflix Instant, and visits elementary schools telling children they don’t need math to succeed (just kidding, stay in school, kids).
