Videos: Casey Abrams Becomes a Hippie on the Streets
Even though he released his debut album last year, we really haven’t heard all that much from season 10 finalist Casey Abrams. But he just pulled a stunt that’s getting everyone’s attention, even a major gossip website. TMZ’s Hollywood Tours bus came across Casey on the side of the road, without shoes on, playing a guitar and lying against a giant stuffed gorilla:
Unfortunately your browser does not support IFrames. It soon became obvious Casey wasn’t just some “dirty, singing hippie person” all of a sudden, as TMZ called him. His fellow season 10 finalists were in on the joke and tweeted about him, some “worrying” about him and others saying they spotted him:
Haley Reinhart: “Where’s Casey?? … WHERE’S CASEY?!??! I’ll tell you where he is, on Sunset and La Cienega! Being a bum. … If @IAmCaseyAbrams can get his act together in time, he’ll be joining me Friday @ the HOB. He’s being busy bein’ a #bumonthestreets.”
Scotty McCreery: “Been texting and calling @IAmCaseyAbrams all day… somebody said they saw him climbing through dumpsters in downtown hollywood?! #WheresCasey.”
James Durbin: @IAmCaseyAbrams, you’re not answering your phone, Im worried! Where are you!?!? #wherescasey.”
And then a video appeared online called “Casey Abrams is Homeless,” showing him walking the streets of Hollywood with his bass and the stuffed gorilla. It starts off with other Idols like Haley Reinhart and Paul McDonald talking about Casey, who eventually runs into Jack Black and receives some advice from the star. It’s all quite humorous.
But this wasn’t all done just for fun. No, everything lead up to the release of Casey’s new music video for his single “Get Out,” which picks up right after the events of the above homeless video:

Video: Phillip Phillips’ “Gone Gone Gone” Music Video
Speaking of music videos, Phillip Phillips is following up the massive success of “Home” with his latest single “Gone Gone Gone.” And he just released the music video for this latest tune. As we all know, Phillip is a very laid-back guy, and that’s reflected here. Also, there are home videos included throughout, though it’s not clear if any of them have a connection to the singer.
The Top Idol Album Sales
Colton Dixon started out with strong first week sales of his debut album. In the second week, though, the same can’t be said, as A Messenger dropped 40 spots.
