Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend Reggie Bush has said that he “hate[s] the paparazzi.” But dating a reality celebrity, former Paris Hilton entourage member and sex tape star like Kim Kardshian means the photogs are basically inevitable.
While Kim might be dependent on building buzz through appearances in the press, clearly she, like her boyfriend, feels conflicted about all the attention. She recently talked about the ambivalence, and about how she feels about another celeb who’s been the subject of much paparazzi attention.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star said that she feels like she can understand how Britney Spears’ difficult situation was made even more so by the constant attention from the paparazzi.
“I definitely do sympathize with Britney [Spears],” Kim said. “I think when you step outside of the house you know what you’re getting yourself into if you live in that world. So, I think that to a certain extent she can do things a little bit differently, but I think at some point you just give up and don’t care because it’s following you so much anyways, that you just don’t know how to get away from it.”
Of course, for Kim, it’s a delicate balance, because as the main subject of a reality show like Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she’s voluntarily putting herself and her personal life front and center in the public arena.
Kim seems to feel that despite this, she has some boundaries that she is keeping with her life to ensure that what is truly private remains that way, like her relationship with Reggie. Asked if their relationship might be featured on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim replied, “You might. I’m still trying to keep my show, my show…but you might get a little glimpse here and there.”
