Kim Kardashian, star of E!’s new reality series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, is not one to shy away from the camera, but the 27-year-old Hollywood socialite says she will never videotape herself having sex again, not only because she has two very impressionable younger sisters, but also because she saw how deeply it affected her family.
“My step-dad [Olympic medalist and Keeping Up with the Kardashians co-star Bruce Jenner] wouldn’t talk to me for three weeks,” Kardashian told Playboy. “The stress that I know it put on my mom and my step-dad — just the whole family. If my dad were here to witness all of that, I don’t even know what I’d do. It’s just not worth it, basically.”
Although Kim Kardashian is eager to promote a more positive public image through the reality series, the family has recently been criticized for the inappropriate behavior exhibited by Kendall, 12, and Kylie, 9, on the show. In one episode, the younger Jenner was seen working a stripper pole in their parents’ bedroom, while in another episode, the two girls were seen running around the house and demonstrating what they believe women do on Girls Gone Wild videos.
Kardashian herself has not necessarily veered away from flaunting her sexuality. She may have sworn off videotaping acts of intimacy, but she is still willing to bare herself to the public. This year’s December issue of Playboy not only features the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star on the cover, but also on a 10-page nude spread.
For the shoot, Kardashian said that she showed a little bit of her chest, but bared her entire backside, which she claims is her favorite part of her body.
“I like [the attention]; I think it’s funny,” she told Playboy. “It bothered me when people would come up with rumors, like, ‘Oh, my god, she has butt implants, it can’t be real.’ Who gets butt implants? Come on. Do you know anybody who has butt implants?”
