Love was definitely on the minds of everyone who attended today’s panel for Bones at the San Diego Comic-Con. Of course there was the question about whether Booth and Brennan would ever hook up, but many other cast members also spoke about upcoming romances for their characters. It seems that season 4 of the hit FOX series will be all about sexy trysts and new relationships. Series creator Hart Hanson appeared alongside stars David Boreanaz, John Francis Daley, Michaela Conlin and Tamara Taylor to drop hints about the upcoming season.
The biggest news in the panel came from Hanson, who promised the audience that “this year, Booth and Brennan will be in bed together naked.” From the way he carefully chose his words, I assume he’s not talking about sex. Though the characters have yet to consummate their relationship, Boreanaz revealed that he already thinks of the two as a married couple due to the way they trust and respect each other. It seems all they’re missing is the sex.
Aside from the will-they-or-won’t-they tension between Booth and Bones, the other actors on stage also discussed possible romances for their characters. Daley mentioned that Sweets might find a love interest, while Taylor hinted that her character is going to get involved with someone who Angela once slept with. As for Angela, she’ll finally track down her husband in the new season.
Aside from the hook-ups, Bones fans can look forward to a two-hour season premiere that was filmed in London, where David Boreanaz learned that double-decker buses make him claustrophobic. Zack will also make a return appearance in season 4, while Sweets will cope with losing the team’s trust following the events at the end of last year. In case that’s not enough scoop, Hanson also revealed that the team will finally be going after the gravedigger once again, and just may catch him this time. Audiences will also get to meet Booth’s family sometime in season 4.
Bones will return to FOX for its new season in September.
