Bodybuilder and The Incredible Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno is among the first to be cast on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars, Life and Style Magazine reports. While Ferrigno, 57, hasn’t signed a contract with the ABC reality show, he said he can’t wait to start training for the show.
“I had a good meeting with the producers for Dancing With the Stars, it was really positive, and they loved the idea of having me on the show,” he said.
The I Love You, Man star is known to be physically fit, in fact, he was training Michael Jackson for his comeback concerts until the singer died recently. But his joining Dancing with the Stars is his first foray into dancing. He first tried out in 2007.
“I’ve never done that type of dancing before, so I know that I’ll have to train hard,” he says. “I’m a glutton for punishment, so I’ll give it my best shot.”
Ferrigno is best known playing Bill Bixby’s green and mean alter ego The Hulk in The Incredible Hulk, on top of Pumping Iron, Sinbad of the Seven Seas, Hercules, and most recently in I Love You, Man.
Dancing with the Stars kicks off its new season September 21, with the new batch of contestants set to be announced in the August 17 episode of Good Morning America.
