Two singing competition results shows will go head-to-head Thursday night, each with their own special guests. The Voice and The X Factor will both air live results show Thursday night at 8pm.
The X Factor will load its show with one of the biggest musical groups in the world, One Direction, who not coincidentally got their start courtesy of Simon Cowell on the British version of the show. The super group will perform two songs, “Live While We’re Young” and “Little Things.”
The decision is definitely Simon Cowell’s way of bringing in the big guns knowing that the show will be competing with the much more popular reality competition, The Voice.
Speaking of The Voice, the show’s first live results show on Thursday will also feature performances by people with a strong connection to the show and its judges. Coach Adam Levine’s band Maroon 5 will perform their new single, “Daylight.” In addition, season 2 winner Jermaine Paul will perform his debut single, “I Believe in This Life.”
So which reality competition results show will you be tuning in for? Are you excited to watch Adam Levine leave the comfort of his chair to perform? Or are you super-duper in love with One Direction like Simon Cowell’s bank account is?
The Voice airs two-hour performance shows Monday and Wednesday at 8pm. The X Factor also airs its two-hour performance show Wednesday at 8pm. Both shows air live results shows Thursday at 8pm.
