Mrs. Blake Shelton and country superstar Miranda Lambert will stop by next Wednesday’s Voice finale to share the stage with Team Blake’s finalist, sweet indie-pop singer Dia Frampton, the singer announced today.
“I am thrilled to perform on my favorite new show. It’s been a joy watching my husband grow so attached to his team,” Lambert says in a press release. “Truthfully, I am a little jealous that I am not a coach myself. I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
The duet will take place during The Voice‘s live hour-long finale at 8pm on June 29.
Lambert isn’t the only one excited about the duet. Last night, Shelton tweeted, “Special guest surprise Grammy winning multi-platinum ass whipping MEGA-STAR duet?…………. check.”
Among Dia’s other perks for being Team Blake: Flowers from Lambert, and a special dinner with Blake and her two sisters.
Shelton definitely wins the award for Proudest Coach/Husband this season, though Adam Levine gave Shelton a run for his money last night. Levine stopped by Conan on Thursday and, after joking about being a sex addict (just watch…), bragged about his finalist, Javier Colon, who’s bound to give Dia, as well as Team Cee Lo’s Vicci Martinez and Team Xtina’s Beverly McClellan, some stiff competition.
“Javier is incredible,” he said. “When I saw him sing I was so blown away, and I want to see him succeed.” He added, “I think Javier will be a successful guy regardless of what happens, but I think he’s going to win. The second I heard him sing I thought, ‘This guy is winning. I have to get him on my team!'” Watch the interview for more:
