Meet Claire’s Nemesis
If you’ve been watching Modern Family over the past two seasons, you may have noticed that Claire occasionally takes up arms against grave injustices in her neighborhood. Well, in season 3, Claire will take her fight to a new level — the town council.
Apparently angered over an incident involving a stop sign and an intersection, Claire will butt heads with a town councilman by the name of Duane Bailey. Bailey, a typically-charming but useless low-level politician, obviously has no idea who or what he is up against in Claire.
But Who Is He?
Town councilman Duane Bailey, who will appear in episode 6 of season 3 (entitled “Hit and Run”), will be played by none other than David Cross of Arrested Development fame.
Considering David Cross’ brilliance in playing mildly horrible people, it’s safe to assume that he will be a worthy recipient of Claire’s fury.
What Happens Next?
Fortunately for Claire and unfortunately for Duane Bailey, it’s election season. Thus Claire, with an assist from the ever-helpful Gloria, may just be running for Bailey’s town council seat. Could Claire be trading in life as a housewife for a career in politics?
We kind of hope so. Because that would be a lot of fun on a show like **Modern Family.
