Naruto fans, get ready for some ramen noodle eating contest! A major event is heading towards New York City and it comes in the form of the Naruto Wii launch party. On Saturday, October 27, Tomy, D3P, Nintendo and Major League Eating will join forces so that fans can take delight in a day packed with tournaments, prizes, freebees and other fun-filled activities.
The upcoming affair is set to run from 10am to 4pm at the Nintendo World Store, which is located at Rockefeller Plaza, New York. The site is expected to be overflowing with gaming stations, collectible card game areas, and costumed Naruto characters, and is also expected to host its first ever professional Ramen Noodle Major League Eating Contest at 11:30am, which features some of the world’s most renowned competitive eating athletes.
The much awaited Wii game, which is called Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution, features brand new storylines designed to stay current with the U.S. animated series, which can be seen on Cartoon Network. It boasts new characters, and includes various 3D fighting environments. It consists of six dynamic stages with two environmental combat zones where gamers will be able to start fighting in one arena and bust into a second one as the fight wages on.
According to Tomy and D3Publisher, each of the fighters will come to life with new animations on Wii. Included in the cast of at least 14 playable characters are Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura.
Revolution will also feature a number of gameplay modes, from story, score attack, time attack and survival to two-player versus, two-player score attack, two-player survival and, one to four multiplayer.
In addition to the focal story of the game, there will be mini-games so players can take advantage of the Wii remote such as Shuriken Throw, Rasengan Training and Shadow Clone Trick.
