NBC is the first network to officially announce its schedule for the 2013-2014 TV season, and it involves a lot of changes. Revolution is moving to Wednesdays, Chicago Fire is moving to Tuesdays and Parenthood is moving to Thursdays.

In addition, three new comedies will debut on Thursdays, The Biggest Loser will return and trim down to a single hour and Fridays nights will be home to specialty shows about vampires and pirates. New James Spader drama The Blacklist gets the coveted post-Voice slot on Monday nights while another new drama, Ironside, will premiere after Law and Order: SVU.

Shows not yet scheduled include the fifth season of Community, new dramas Chicago PD (the Chicago Fire spin-off) and The Night Shift, plus new comedy Undateable.
NBC has also renewed The Celebrity Apprentice for another season. No decision has been made yet on whether Fashion Star, Betty White’s Off Their Rockers and Hannibal will be renewed.
In addition to these big announcements, NBC also revealed that Saturday Night Live’s Seth Meyers will take over for Jimmy Fallon in the post-Tonight Show slot. The switch will take place in the spring of 2014 following NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics.
All of this flux seems rather good for the network. The Blacklist is a high-profile drama and could definitely be a big hit. Chicago Fire is being given a chance to get built up even more Tuesdays with The Voice as its lead-in, meaning it could be the future big drama for NBC. Revolution could finally give NBC something decent to start off Wednesdays. Parenthood seems like the best possible companion for Thursday night’s comedies (moreso than Hannibal, anyway). And using Grimm to launch another supernatural drama is a smart move too.

The Blacklist: James Spader stars as America’s most wanted criminal who turns himself in and agrees to give over the names of everyone he’s worked with, but he’ll only talk to a rookie FBI agent who seems to have no connection to him.
Ironside: This remake finds Blair Underwood as an NYPD detective in a wheelchair leading an elite group to take down criminals.
Welcome to the Family: A comedy about teenage girl graduating high school who learns she’s pregnant, and her white family and her boyfriend’s Latino family must learn to deal with this unexpected news.
Sean Saves the World: A multi-camera sitcom starring Will and Grace‘s Sean Hayes as a gay divorced dad juggling work and a teenage daughter.
The Michael J. Fox Show: Michael J. Fox stars as a family man who leaves his job as a news anchor after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, but returns to work five years later.
Dracula: Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays the world’s most famous vampire in 19th century London.
The Family Guide: Family comedy about a man whose divorced parents include a blind father and wild, care-free mother.
About a Boy: An adaptation of the Nick Hornby/ book/Hugh Grant movie starring David Walton.
Crossbones: John Malkovich stars as Blackbeard the pirate in this 18th century drama.
American Dream Builders: A new competition series about extreme home renovations.
Believe: From J.J. Abrams, this drama centers on a 10-year-old girl with special powers like telekinesis and the ex-con who is charged with protecting her from people who would explot her abilities.
Crisis: A bus on a school field trip is hijacked and taken prisoner, only the school is one of the most prestigious in Washington D.C. and carries the kids of the most important and influential people.
