CBS #1 hit television drama across the globe is sticking around for a long time to come. Thankfully, CBS was also able to work out this 2-year contract with not only the show, but the life and blood of it, executive producer and star Mark Harmon. CBS Entertainment President Glenn Geller had this to say about the NCIS renewal.
NCIS Plans Goodbye to Michael Weatherly‘s Tony DiNozzo>>>
“It’s extraordinary that in its 13th season and with over 300 episodes to its credit, NCIS continues to excel at such a high level on a global scale. It is testimony to an amazing cast, led on and off the screen by the exceptional Mark Harmon, for skillfully bringing this universally appealing team of heroes to life; and to Gary Glasberg and his writers for crafting compelling stories that feature NCIS’s signature blend of mystery, quirk, drama and comedy every single week.”
Has NCIS Found Tony’s Replacement?>>>
It’s pretty incredible for a series to last for such an extended period of time. For most shows, existing past 5 seasons is an incredible feat. For a series to triple that is truly incredible. After 13 seasons, this crime drama still manages to hold an average of over 20 million viewers, even growing in the past 4 years. The series is also a hit in over 200 different markets, so keeping it going is a no-brainer. Here’s to at least two, but hopefully many more years in the Naval Crime Investigative Service Major Case Response Team.
NCIS season 13 airs Tuesdays at 8pm on CBS.
