How will Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo exit NCIS? That’s the big question every NCIS fan is pondering about as the CBS procedural inches closer to Michael Weatherly‘s swan song. There have been some rumors on how the beloved character will leave the show and we’ve also come up with our own theories but now there are more details from the network, which has released the official synopsis for the season 13 finale.

According to CBS, “NCIS, FBI and MI6 continue an international manhunt for an escaped British spy who is targeting current and former agents” in “Family First,” which marks Weatherly’s final episode.
The synopsis certainly fits the previously reported casting news– with British actor Duane Henry being cast as MI-6 agent and 24 actress Sarah Clarke as an FBI agent.
“We’re really trying to give everybody something that leaves them satisfied,” NCIS boss Gary Glasberg told TVLine of Weatherly’s exit story.
Tony embarking on what sounds to be his most dangerous mission yet will probably cause fans to worry whether he can survive his final case.
NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8pm on CBS.
