Halloween is coming a little late for Supernatural. According to EW’s Michael Ausiello, Freddy Krueger himself Robert Englund will guest star on the December 10 episode.
Showrunner Sera Gamble tells Ausiello that Englund will play an off-the-books doctor who helps patch up injured Hunters. Englund is on quite a roll as this Monday he’ll guest star on the Halloween episode of Chuck.
Perhaps more interesting to Supernatural fans is the news that there will be an episode in December. For the past two seasons Supernatural has finished its 10-episode fall run before Thanksgiving, leading to an extended break between the first and second halves of the season.
With news that this episode will air December 10, it means the show will run a bit longer (probably due to a delayed premiere). However, assuming the first half will only feature the first 10 episodes, this also means we’ll have two repeats coming soon.
What do you think of Freddy Kureger coming to help, and which Hunter do you think will need medical assistance?
