Tuesday night ABC Family introduced us to a new kind of hero, Chloe King. A sixteen year-old who discovers she has some pretty spectacular powers like increased hearing, balance, claws and the ability to come back to life nine times. Well, eight since she died in the first episode.

Even with the supernatural powers and being hunted, Chloe King’s story doesn’t stop there. Adopted at a very young age, Chloe is searching for answers of where she comes from and why her dad left. Turns out, mom may know more than she lets on.
Looking forward to learning more? In this exclusive clip from an upcoming episode of Nine Lives, Chloe appears to be just your average teen running late for school with a nagging mom telling her to eat breakfast. But, not every teen can extract claws to pick up an apple! Unfortunately things don’t necessarily go to plan:
