Is he, or isn’t he? The questions orbiting Wentworth Miller these days don’t have anything to do with Prison Break, but his comments to the press sure seem to indicate that he wishes they were. Miller has been linked with TR Knight’s former boyfriend, Luke MacFarlane, for some time now prompting the “Wentworth Miller is Gay” rumors that just refuse to die. Now, some candid snap shots and some sandals have the internet buzzing yet again.
Miller, who has guarded his privacy ferociously, was recently photographed out and about with MacFarlane in Los Angeles over the weekend. The duo were out for a walk, wearing nearly identical beige pants and apparently matching sandals. The photographer who snapped the duo reported that the two left, with MacFarlane driving.
Miller’s response to the gay allegations have become as ambiguous as fellow purported closeteer Clay Aiken. Miller was quoted by an Australian journalist as saying “Certain people are going to have certain fantasies. If someone wants to imagine me with a woman, or a man, or one of each, that’s cool with me as long as you keep watching the show.” Referring, obviously, to his hit FOX series Prison Break.
Of course Miller does make a valid point. The desperation that fans display in learning the answer to the question “Is Wentworth Miller Gay?” is hardly going to be paid off by an answer. Either way, you sort of say “Oh,” and walk away. In the end, the focus should be on what attracted our attention to Wentworth Miller to begin with, his performances.
This is, of course, the point where everybody brings up Adam Rothchild Ryan, the flamboyantly gay character Miller played on Popular back in the day.
Histrionic laden beige and sandals aside, if Miller truly is gay, and is avoiding the admission simply to protect the privacy of himself and those in close proximity, he’s either going to wait for the volume to fall, or come out just to stop the noise. One thing that is definitely revealed in these pictures is that the Prison Break star is developing a bit of a ponch. Good thing they won’t be needing as many shirtless scenes this season.
