The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards was taken into custody by the police at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday morning for reportedly kicking a police officer and public intoxication. The Bravo reality star was described as “belligerent, slurring her speech and reeked of booze.”

According to TMZ, “Richards had been hanging out at the famous Polo Lounge inside the hotel and was asked to leave because she was too hammered and being unruly.”
Richards reportedly refused to leave. She then entered a restroom and wouldn’t come out.
“Ms. Richards was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior, cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest,” police said in a statement. “After being transported to the station for booking, Richards kicked one of the officers in the leg; however the officer was not injured.”
Richards has struggled with substance abuse in the past. During the recent Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion show, she claimed that she has been sober for three years.
Though she has been released from custody, Richards is expected to face misdemeanor charges. She is due to appear at the L.A. Superior Court on June 10.
Meanwhile, Real Housewives stars have already shared their thoughts about Richards’ arrest.
Adrienne Maloof told E! News: “I think this is a cry for help. Right now Kim needs help,” and adds, “She and [sisters] Kyle Richards and Kathy [Hilton] are in my prayers and have my full support.”
Eileen Davidson tweeted: “I feel badly for Kim Richards and her family my thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.”
Lisa Rinna tweeted: “I was sad to hear about Kim’s incident and I wish her and her family the best.”
Lisa Vanderpump tweeted: “U can’t help somebody til they want to help themselves,I know for sure that the sisters will always support each other when the time comes.”
