Hiatus-shmiatus! While most other TV stars are taking the summer off, these Real Housewives keep hustling. Here’s what they’ve been up to lately.
NeNe’s a No Go
According to TVGuide.com, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes has turned down an opportunity to join the cast of the all-star edition of The Celebrity Apprentice.
“It was hard as hell — a grueling-as schedule,” NeNe said. “You work every single day except for Sunday from sunup to sundown. You’re locked into a war room and you have to give up your cell phone, your iPad, your laptop, everything. It’s a tough show. I can’t do it again!”
Maybe it isn’t so surprising that NeNe isn’t up for another season of CA, considering she quit halfway through her first appearance after a feud with Star Jones.
Soap Opera Housewife
The Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi says that she “definitely has the bug for acting.” The reality star appeared on Telemundo’s Mia Mundo basically as a fictional version of herself.
“That was such a fun experience and such a fun surprise,” Gretchen told Frontiers L.A.”They reached out to me and said that the writer of the series was a huge fan of mine from the Housewives, and she wrote a role specifically to be played by me. It was such a great experience. I definitely got the bug for acting, so who knows what the future holds.”
Judging by that clip Gretch, we’d say don’t quit your day job.
Another ‘Wife, Another Memoir
Writing a book almost seems to have become a requirement for being a Housewife these days. And now Kim Richards of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is planning on adding “author” to her resume.
While Kim admits that the book hasn’t gone into development, that she has a lot to say and would cover everything from her life as a child star to her struggles with alcohol abuse. It at least seems more intriguing than Class With the Countess.
I Just Wanna [Make It Stop]
Looks like The Real Housewives of New Jersey resident “pop star” Melissa Gorga is at it again. Here’s a sneak peek at her new video for her song “I Just Wanna.”
