By now, the fact that Porsha Williams attacked Kenya Moore at The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion is getting national attention. Kenya released an official statement regarding the incident and Porsha’s act of unnecessary violence.
“There are many inflammatory statements made by cast members to and about each other particularly during the reunion tapings,” Kenya said in a statement released to People. “Many have made untrue, denigrating, disparaging and inflammatory statements against me in an attempt to provoke me, but I have never reacted in a violent way.”

Porsha attacked Kenya, grabbing her by the hair and dragging her to the ground after Kenya shouted defamatory comments at her through a megaphone. Porsha then claimed that she “blacked out” during the attack, and the next thing she can remember is NeNe standing over her.
“If people get so angry that they lose control and admittedly ‘black out’ and resort to violence, those persons must be held responsible for their actions,” Kenya said.
Andy Cohen asked Porsha to leave the reunion taping after Kenya prompted, “Either she goes or I go.” Kenya then called the police and Porsha has since been charged with battery.
“The authorities will decide her fate, not me,” Kenya said.
Porsha turned herself in to the police last week. Her attorney said, “Although the claim is unfounded, Ms. Williams is fully cooperating with investigators and looks forward to clearing her name.”
Kenya also made it quite clear on the day of the attack that she wants Porsha fired. Rumors are already circulating that Bravo will not be asking her back for the next season.
“We all agree that we don’t condone violence,” Kenya said in a statement to the Associated Press. “We’ve become angry with each other, we’ve threatened each other and gone to the edge. But at the end of the day, we know there’s a line. If there are no consequences, then where does it end?”
Kenya also brought up Porsha’s lineage as a way to shame her. “She is a granddaughter of a civil rights leader [Hosea Williams],” Kenya said. “She does not have the tools to navigate this process. It’s just very unfortunate and sad. If I was in her position, the first thing I would do is apologize.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion continues Sunday at 8pm on Bravo.
