This week on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe Leakes made a real ass of herself with a catty speech at a charity event. Now, after the episode has aired, she seems to be doing a bit of backpedaling, but not without backing up the bus and driving over Kenya Moore as well.

NeNe started off by apologizing for her behavior, but didn’t seem to remain contrite for long.
“I don’t have a lot I want to say, but I’ll start by saying I apologize for my behavior at the charity event,” NeNe wrote on her Bravo blog. “I definitely don’t want to teach young women that this is the proper way to respond when someone is trying to trick you into a situation and push your buttons. I would much rather teach young women to be aware of the wolves in sheep’s clothing.”
“Kenya used the charity’s name for her own selfish reasons,” she continued. “I never received a call, a text or an email from Kenya. What I did learn the night before the charity event is that Kenya had used a PR firm to send e-vites to everyone, which is why I didn’t see it. If she really had pure, good intentions, she could have picked up the phone, called me and said, ‘Hey let’s put our differences aside for a night of charity!'”
All of NeNe’s disdain for Kenya and the genesis of their fight stemmed from the brawl at NeNe’s Pillow Talk Party, which NeNe completely blamed on Kenya. But of course, Kenya had a few words in her own defense.
“I may not do everything perfectly right, but my heart was in the right place,” Kenya wrote on her Bravo blog. “NeNe could have declined coming altogether, sent someone to accept on her behalf or come and graciously accept her honor and ask people to be generous and donate, then speak to me privately later. Yet, she did none of the above. Proving money can’t buy you class. What’s most disturbing than anything is her ‘I am bigger and better than anyone’ attitude.”
Kenya previously stated she thinks that NeNe has started trouble with her this season because she is “jealous of her” since her Hollywood star is fading. She also promises to save a lot of drama for the reunion. But until then, it looks like the two of them will get at it even more.
