After dropping hints on Twitter that she may be re-engaged to her ex-husband, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes put the rumors to rest by confirming they are true.

“A little after midnight [New Year’s Eve], I was asked this beautiful question: ‘Will you marry me again?'” NeNe said on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last week.
The two were married in 1996, but divorced in 2011. Though on the current season of RHOA, NeNe and her new fiance, Gregg, were working hard to get the relationship back on the right track.
“I never really wanted to divorce Gregg,” NeNe said last night on Watch What Happens Live. “I believe that as a women, you have to stand for something or you fall for anything. And I think we teach men how to treat us. And I had to stand, honey, take it for what it’s worth.”
“The stars and the moon in comparison could not match the sparkle that was in her eye,” a smitten Gregg told Andy on WWHL. “Her smile was invigorating. At 12:01, I seized the opportunity and I proposed the question … she said ‘yes,’ and nothing else matters.”
After an impromptu bridal shower thrown by Andy for the newly engaged couple, NeNe also addressed how she felt about her nemesis and former co-star Kim Zolciak leaving the show. And surprisingly, it was actually kind of nice.
“The way Kim left the show is the way Kim chose to leave the show,” NeNe said, contradicting what she tweeted earlier about Kim being fired. “The mood definitely changed once Kim left the show. I felt like the girls get along so much better now that she’s gone. However, every girl that’s left the show that I began the show with, I’ve always felt some kind of way about it. A little part of me felt kinda sad about it, because we started this journey together. For us to not be together now, it’s kind of sad. We began this journey together and for a reason … you know, me and Kim didn’t get along, but I think about how we all were at the beginning.”
Now let’s hope NeNe isn’t too busy herself to stick around for another season so we can see her and Gregg’s second wedding!
