Season 9 of The Real Housewives of Orange County has yet to wrap, and already casting talk for next season is abuzz. And rumor has it that longtime cast member Tamra Judge and newbie Lizzie Rovsek may not be back for another go-around.
Earlier this week, Tamra claimed that Bravo producers had manipulated the scene where she cancelled on co-star Lizzie’s birthday party. She then posted on her Facebook account (that has since been deleted) that the producers censored her Bravo blog as well.
“I submitted my Bravo blog, but here are a few facts that I am sure Bravo will take out of my blog when they post it,” Tamra’s Facebook post said, according to RadarOnline. “They asked me to wait until the cameras were up in the limo to let Lizzie know. Then they had her call me and say, ‘How rude that you didn’t call me.'”
According to a source who spoke with Radar, Bravo frowns upon the cast members revealing production secrets and it may mean the end of Tamra’s career as a Housewife.
“The network has had it with Tamra’s over the top ego and diva behavior,” the insider said. “She sealed her fate by publicly stating that Bravo edited scenes to make her look bad. This is a very big no-no, and Tamra’s contract won’t be picked up for another season.”
Although Tamra is good at stirring the pot, the fact that she may not have any interesting “storylines” going forward may also be a factor.
“The fact that she has ongoing legal issues with ex-husband Simon [Barney] and really doesn’t have anything that interesting going on in her life made it a very easy decision,” the insider said.
Tamra isn’t the only one in danger of getting the ax. After only one season, Lizzie may not be asked back either.
“Lizzie isn’t going to be asked back,” the insider told Radar.
Other rookie, Shannon Beador, however, is exactly what producers are looking for.
“Fans love Shannon because she is a bit of an airhead, likes to drink and party, and is a hot mess,” the insider said. “She doesn’t care what others think about her, and producers want to cast women with similar personality traits.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Mondays at 9pm on Bravo.
