The Real Housewives of New Jersey ended with a bang on Sunday, but don’t worry, they’ll all be back for a two-part reunion to talk about everything that went down over the course of season 5. Here’s a little gossip to hold you off until then:

Charges Dropped

Jacqueline Laurita, her husband Chris Laurita and Joe Gorga were all facing charges after a supposed brawl that took place at the boutique opening that was filmed for the finale. Now all of the charges, including charges that Jacqueline hit John Karagiorgis in the head with a stiletto heel, were dropped, according to the New Jersey Star-Ledger.

“Case was dismissed for a reason. Disgusting that he lied about me hitting him with a shoe! It never happened! I didn’t do that! Raw footage proves that!” Jacqueline tweeted.

The footage does seem to indicate that, although things did get heated, no physical contact was made.

Melissa’s Book isn’t Pro-Rape

As soon as Melissa Gorga’s book, Love Italian Style, hit the shelves, it sparked controversy. Some critics are claiming that it is advocating marital rape, but Melissa isn’t letting her critics slow her down. In fact, she’s taking it as an opportunity to further spread her philosophy of marriage.

“It’s not meant to read literally,” Melissa wrote on her Bravo blog. “Joe would be in serious trouble if he tore my clothes! His point is that women like feeling taken — within the trust and safety of a mutually respectful relationship. Fans of Fifty Shades of Grey can attest that there’s a difference between racy and ‘rapey.’ When Joe and I talk about dominance and submission, it’s racy. It’s about a man being a man, a woman being a woman, a man taking charge and a woman letting it happen — consensually.”

Melissa also took a jab at the Jezebel article that started it all.

“”Hardcore feminists are allowed to cook and decorate, too, amirite, Jezebel? Or not?” she wrote. “Clearly, that reporter’s ideals about marriage are different than mine. Good for her. To each her own … I hope people will judge my book after they’ve actually read it, not just on one article on a notoriously snarky blog that misconstrued my message in order to get hits.”

Deny, Deny, Deny

Teresa and Joe Giudice made their first Bravo appearance together on Watch What Happens Live after the finale to confirm that they were sticking with their strategy to deny all of the accusations made against them. But that doesn’t mean that Teresa is in denial of the severity of the situation.

“I’m not in denial about it, I know it’s serious and terrible, and I wouldn’t wish this situation on anyone,” Teresa wrote on her Bravo blog. “It’s not a pretty process. But I choose to stay positive. I really believe that being positive and being happy is a choice. It would be easy to stay in bed and cry all day. It’s hard to keep moving forward, keep working, and keep your head up, but that’s what strong women do. Especially being a mom, I can’t fall apart. I have four little girls looking at me to see how to handle bad times. I want to set a good example for them because life involves bad times.”
