After much speculation, Bravo has announced that former Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel will return for season 7. Bethenny was an original cast member for seasons 1-3 and also previously starred in her own spin-off, Bethenny Ever After.

“I’m genuinely excited, with a side of slightly nervous, for my return to The Real Housewives of New York City,” Bethenny told Bravo. “Bravo has always been the place on television where I have the freedom to be unfiltered, honest and inappropriate, with an audience who has been with me from the beginning. I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings for all of us. Watch what happens!”
After reality TV, Bethenny dabbled in other forms of entertainment with her daytime talk show Bethenny, but it was cancelled after one season. She admits on her blog that the decision to come back to TV was rough after her talk show failed.
“I have been through a long and arduous road since my departure, and I’m finally coming out on the other side. It finally feels right to go home again,” she wrote on her blog. “The idea of doing the show feels exciting and refreshing, like it did at the beginning all those years ago. New faces, new circumstances, and in many ways, a new me and a new life.”
As for the rest of the cast, we’ve already learned that Aviva Drescher is out. But Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson, Kristen Taekman, LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan will all be returning in some capacity.
“Bethenny is one of the most popular Housewives in the history of the franchise,” Andy Cohen said. “I couldn’t be more excited she is coming home to Bravo.”
