Ramona Singer, star of The Real Housewives of New York City, has announced that she and her husband Mario Singer are officially separating after 25 years of marriage.
“I have decided to move on with my life without Mario,” Ramona tweeted yesterday. “I tried my best to make my marriage work. I am excited for the new chapter in my life.”
Allegations that Mario, 60, was having an affair with a 27 year-old woman surfaced earlier this year. Although she filed for divorce shortly after, she claimed that she and Mario were trying to work past their problems and save their marriage.

On the most recent reunion episode of RHONYC, Ramona got confrontational with Andy Cohen when he asked her about the state of her marriage.
“Everyone in my family is great,” she answered (in a somewhat rehearsed tone). “We’re together now, but I have a daughter Avery, who I love dearly, who is 19, and because of that, that’s all I have to say on the matter.”

Ramona talked with Us Weekly and told them that the divorce is now pending once again. And this time it seems unlikely that she’ll have second thoughts.
“I am doing what is right for me and my daughter Avery, who is the most important person in the world to me,” she said. “But I am feeling great.”
