The battle of the Real Housewives parties is on! Season 8 of The Real Housewives of New York City won’t kick off until next week but the premiere is already causing tension among the cast.

According to Page Six, Dorinda Medley and newest cast member Julianne Wainstein have planed a screening party at 42 West for the April 6 season opener while Sonja Morgan has decided to throw party to celebrate the new season on Tuesday night at Beautique. A source claimed that all seven cast members were invited to Morgan’s bash but “no other ‘housewife’ is going to Sonja’s party except Ramona.”
“Sonja’s angry at being overshadowed [by the other cast members]” the insider added. “Ramona’s just lending her name [to the party] to make Sonja feel better.”
On the other hand, Medley and Wainstein’s invite says “The Bitches are Back!”
Bravo is reportedly not involved in the parties.
“This is not the first time this has happened . . . If you look back, at least four times there have been these warring premiere parties. Sometimes they’re on the same night and [producer] Andy ÂCohen hasn’t known which one to go to,” the insider said.
The Real Housewives of New York City season 8 premieres Wednesday April, 6 at 9pm on Bravo.
