We already know before that the character Rumer Willis plays on 90210 isn’t exactly straight, but Entertainment Weekly reports something more – a hitherto straight female cast who just might be a very willing recipient to Willis’ Gia’s lesbian loving.
On tonight’s episode for instance, Gia and Navid (Michael Steger) launch an investigation into student drug use at West Beverly for Blaze News, which leads them to Annie’s (Shenae Grimes) boyfriend Jasper, something that laves Annie torn over who to believe. But who, you ask, will be Gia’s love interest?

It’s none other than Teddy-avoiding, broken-hearted Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes)! Perhaps it’s safe to say that Ade’s not exactly blossoming love life might have something to do with her contemplating on batting for the other team, but the CW has so far been hush-hush on most of the details of this story arc. They assure us, however, that it isn’t just a little publicity ploy (possibly a barb to Gossip Girl’s gay kiss?).
“This isn’t a fling,” executive producer Rebecca Sinclair says. “We’re coming at this [relationship] from a genuine place and not going, ‘Let’s do a titillating story that will grab some promotion.’ This is a real aspect of teenager life that’s interesting. And there’s been a real void in the 90210 universe in terms of gay and bisexual characters.”
