Another familiar face will be returning to Bones for one last time! It was recently announced that Betty White would return to the show and Eddie McClintock shared in early September that he would reprise his role as Sully. Now, according to TV Line, a new actor has signed on to revisit Bones. Stephen Fry will return to Bones as Gordon Wyatt for season 12.

Boreanaz posted a picture with him and the famous British actor, lovingly poking fun at the latter’s accent. The tweet is embedded below.

TV Line later confirmed that the picture wasn’t just an impromptu set visit by Fry. Fry will return as former psychiatrist and current chef, Gordon Wyatt. Though Fry had several appearances on Bones starting with season 2, it has been a very long time since he has been seen on the show. Wyatt’s last appearance was all the way back in season 5. Fry will appear in episode 9 of the upcoming season 12.

Fry is probably not the only returning actor fans can expect to see on the final season. Besides the previous mentioned returns, the official press release for season 12 of Bones promises “the return of fan-favorite guest stars and squinterns.” This sounds like far more than just three returning guest stars. The final season won’t just be a complete cavalcade of returning faces though. The final episodes of Bones will also see a wedding and an “epic serial killer storyline.”
