Though all of the three major men in Rory Gilmore’s life will be back in the upcoming Gilmore Girls revival, we can’t know for sure who Rory will end up with. Recently, however, Jared Padalecki dropped some hints about his Gilmore Girls scene and what he shared about his character Dean Forester’s return to Stars Hollow is quite telling.

During a recent fan convention for Supernatural, where he plays Sam Winchester, Padalecki revealed that he returned to Stars Hollow for a brief scene though he didn’t mention who he’s filming with.
“I will say probably a lot more than I’m supposed to,” Padalecki said. “[Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino] basically said, ‘Listen, we’re going to write you a really cool scene and if you get a day off let us know we will just put your scene on the schedule for that day.’ She was like, ‘It’s a set that we already run and own [and] it’s an actress that already is working every day, so let us know.”
The Supernatural actor is possibly referring to Alexis Bledel, who plays Rory. But it doesn’t sound like Rory and Dean shippers will get the ending they are hoping for.
“Dean has a cool scene in the market he used to work at,” teased Padalecki. “It’s a nice, a really nice scene that gave me closure.”
“For me, I never had closure. One day I was an actor on Gilmore Girls and the next day I had a TV show and would never again be on Gilmore Girls,” he added. “So for me, as a person, it was weird, because I was like ‘What about Dean?’ So it was fun to go wrap it up in a really cool way,” he added.
The Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is set to land on Netflix later this year.
