The fourth episode of Supernatural‘s eighth season promises to be another of the show’s great, stylistically unique ones. The majority of the action will be seen through the lens of a student film as a series of “animal attacks” hit a college campus.
In this new clip, we see the shaky handheld camera work as the student director captures Sam and Dean arriving at the murder scene. The director and his friends are wonderfully snarky, referring to the brothers as Starsky and Hutch and Rizzoli and Isles. Sam is totally Isles.
Supernatural is no stranger to documentary episodes. In season 3 an entire episode was done in the style of a potential pilot for the Ghostfacers TV show about paranormal investigations.
Supernatural airs Wednesday at 9pm on the CW.
