The past two seasons have been rough for Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice. First she was feuding with her family members Melissa Gorga (her sister-in-law) and Kathy Wakile (her cousin) when they first joined the show and now on the current season, she has had a falling out with her friends Jacqueline Laurita and Caroline Manzo. And unfortunately for Teresa, all of her fighting has left her with no allies.
In an in-depth interview with the Daily Beast, Teresa admits that she has no idea why anyone else from the show is picking on her, because she hasn’t “done anything.”
“Here you have my sister-in-law and cousin that came on the show behind my back,” Teresa said. “Melissa came on the show with a very strategic, very calculated, very planned-out agenda. Melissa says that she hated me at the time–that’s news to me! What did she hate? That I was on TV and she was dying to be on TV? Because I did nothing to her. She can’t pinpoint anything that I specifically did to her.”
As for having her family on the show, she was surprised that her cousin Kathy was even considered.
“Me and Kathy were so close, she used to tell me all the time, ‘I could never do the show, I could never do what you do. I could never put my life on TV or do what you do.’ She’s such a private person, and blah blah blah,” she said. “The producers were looking for big homes and Kathy’s house is very small. You had to live in a big home, you had to have an extravagant lifestyle, let’s put it that way. I used to be like, ‘Really? Who would even want you?’ It was so funny to me.”
Teresa also confesses that since season 4 stopped shooting, she has not been speaking to her fellow cast members.
“I’m not speaking to any of them. I wish Caroline could actually say what I did to her because I’ve done nothing to her. If I didn’t like her, I would’ve never put her in my book. It’s so funny to me how people are so calculated. I never say anything about any of them and all they do is speak about me. You know, we live in a crazy world, I have to say. Hopefully, God’ll just, you know, look after me, and hopefully protect me from these evil people.”
Teresa also blames her former friend Caroline for a lot of the tension on the show.
“I would say Caroline [is the worst person overall]. She’s a bully. Now watching the show, I feel like such an idiot.”
Teresa had better hope for one hell of a resolution at the reunion–New Jersey Housewives who don’t talk to the rest of their cast have a tendency to disappear (a la Danielle Staub).
