Get ready to see 11 new teams embark on another race around the world for the $1 million grand prize when The Amazing Race premieres on September 25. Leading up to the new season, CBS has revealed all of the locations that those teams will be traveling to, including some places that the show has never stepped foot in before.
Also, a new video has been released giving a preview of what’s to come.

The 11 destinations viewers will get to see in season 27 are:
- Agra, India
- Buenos Aires, Argentina
- Hong Kong/Macau, China
- Krakow, Poland
- Long Island, New York
- Paris, France
- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Rotterdam, Netherlands
- San Antonio de Areco, Argentina
- Victoria Falls, Zambia
- Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
The Amazing Race always begins and ends the race in the United States. The starting line will be in Venice Beach, California, which means we can assume the finish line is in New York.
The show will be heading to the country of Zimbabwe for the very first time. And the city of Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, will be brand-new territory for The Amazing Race as well. (They’ve been to the Netherlands before, just not this particular city.)
Once the race begins, the teams will travel to Rio de Janeiro, where a Fast Forward could be a big game-changer. Other challenges they’ll face around the world include doing the tango in Argentina, pairing up with a rapper in France, get involved with a high-flying water show in China, and even swimming with crocodiles and freefalling over 200 feet in Zimbabwe.
Fall 2015 Calendar: 126 Premiere Dates >>>
It sounds like this will be another exciting season to watch this fall. But don’t take my word for it. Check out this preview video of what we can expect:
As you can see, these teams are being put in situations that will test them physically, mentally and emotionally; they’ll even encounter lions and crocodiles that’s sure to put them on edge. Host Phil Keoghan’s voiceover says, “Emotions run high,” which is always the case. In the above video, some teams get frustrated over trying to finish a challenge and others argue with each other. The final line that one of the women says is hilarious: “It’s a million dollars; I’ll buy you new feet. Come on, let’s go!”
Are you excited for the new season of The Amazing Race? Which location are you looking forward to the most? And are there any challenges in the video that you can’t wait to see?
