This week’s Bachelor not only gave viewers a better understanding of Sean Lowe‘s relationship with his remaining bachelorettes as he visited their hometowns and met their families, but it also possibly left some clues as to who will win Sean’s heart in the end, as well as who will become the next Bachelorette.
‘The Bachelor’ Recap: Traumaculate Hometown Dates
The Winner of The Bachelor…
After eliminating Desiree in the Rose Ceremony, Sean is now left with three women: AshLee, Lindsay and Catherine. According to season 6 Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky, Catherine will most likely be chosen by Sean, while season 1 Bachelorette Trista Sutter picks Lindsay as the winner.
Ali Fedotowsky: “I’ve said this before, but I don’t think most people go on this show expecting to find love. They want to have fun, and if that leads to true love, that’s an added bonus. When Catherine’s sisters said goodbye, she just wanted to have a fun adventure. Now she’s back and she’s all serious. Their concern was shocking to Catherine, but I totally get it. I see it from both sides. You start the show not expecting love, you’re very surprised if you find it–it’s a tricky dynamic. You’re a different person when you return home to your family. They seemed skeptical of this relationship, but I don’t think Sean will let that keep him from choosing Catherine in the end. And I think he will, based on the final three girls after last night’s rose ceremony. Was it obvious to you that Sean was more into Catherine than Lindsay? The fact that those two dates were back-to-back made it pretty clear to me. With the exception of the adorable ‘army training,’ that seemed like a pretty standard date to me. Nothing special.”

Trista Sutter: “Now, when the relationships on the show stir up memories of my developing relationship with Ryan, I start thinking about final roses and our footsteps being followed. Lindsay and Sean made me do that, so at this point, I’m thinking Lindsay is the one stashing a Neil Lane engagement ring somewhere in her house. Yes, he told yet another mother that he was ‘crazy about your daughter’ but I think the contentment with Lindsay, and the conversation and sincerity he expressed with Lindsay’s mom showed that they are on a different level than he is with the other girls. Besides, he got the blessing of a 2 star Army General and an extremely thoughtful gift of identification tags to boot. Will Lindsay be changing her name to Lowe soon? We shall see!”
Meanwhile, here’s what Sean has to say about these two front runners.
Sean Lowe: “I never wanted to say goodnight to Catherine. We always had a good time together and being around her was so easy and natural. But meeting Catherine’s family was pretty intimidating! They seemed skeptical about me and I’m not sure they believed that this could work. I left Seattle knowing that I had a desire to be with Catherine, but just wasn’t sure if our lives aligned… Meeting Lindsay’s family was something I had been thinking about for quite some time. I was amazed at how well I fit in. They were so similar to my family and I felt so comfortable in their home. The girl in the wedding dress was now a clear frontrunner who had stolen my heart.”

The Next Bachelorette…
Desiree may be out of the competition but that can be a good thing especially when you’re a possible contender to be the next Bachelorette. The same goes for AshLee, who is still in the game but seems to have slimmer chances of winning Sean’s heart compared to the other two women.
Arie Luyendyk: “It’s safe to say AshLee is stealing all of our hearts. Pastor Frazier’s banter with Sean was great, and I really liked how Sean was asking a lot of the tough questions regarding AshLee’s marriage as a 17-year-old. Pastor Frazier stole the show — and I can see there is a lot of love in that family. Five foster homes can affect someone’s sparkle, but AshLee is shining bright. If she gets sent home in the coming weeks, I’d love to see her as The Bachelorette. I can’t imagine a girl who’d deserve it more.”
Ali Fedotowsky: “The prank that [Des] pulled was pretty funny. I really like that she got him back. Thatta girl! And it was a pretty good test to get a reaction from Sean. He seemed pretty fired up, which equal passion. I wish we could’ve seen more of his interaction with Desiree’s parents and less of her brother’s drama. But regardless of her brother, if Sean really loved her then that shouldn’t matter. Yes, family is so important, but if your family can’t be reasonable and choose to accept a good man that loves you, then what can she really do? In the end we know that Sean sent Desiree home. Based on this I predict two things: Desiree will be the next Bachelorette and Catherine will end up with Sean. Based on the three girls left, she is the only one who I really see Sean connecting with.
Do you agree with these reality TV stars? Who do you think will win Sean’s heart? And who will be the next Bachelorette?
