After confirming that he does in fact get engaged on The Bachelor season 20 finale, Ben Higgins has another revelation. The software salesman admits that his relationship with his future wife has already had a few bumps.

“I’ve had tough conversations. I put her through hell and back,” Higgins told Us Weekly.
An insider also tells Us Weekly that what happened on The Bachelor was a lot for his fiancee to take in.
In deed knowing that the Bachelor said “I love you” to two women not only sucks to the blindsided runner-up but to the winner as well. Higgins, however, points out that he doesn’t regret dropping the L-word twice. “You can go back and regret things,” he said. “But it put me in a place now where I’m very happy.”

Despite the challenges in his new relationship, Higgins remains optimistic about the future. “We continue to move forward because we continue to communicate,” said Higgins. “She’s been supportive and loving, and ultimately we’re going to get through it. We have gotten through it.”
According to Higgins, his future wife hasn’t seen every episode of The Bachelor season 20 . “She’s seen a lot, but not a ton,” he said. “There’s moments where it’s like, ‘That sucks,’ and of course it does.”
The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
