JJ Lane, who competed for Kaitlyn Bristowe on The Bachelorette season 11, was hospitalized after getting involved in a brawl Saturday night following the Men Tell All after-party.

According to TMZ, JJ and a crew member got jumped by a group of at least 5 men. The brawl reportedly continued “until someone ran into the club to grab fellow Bachelorette contestant Ben Zorn. The hardbodied, badass jumped in and broke up the fight.”
Friends were worried JJ, who sustained two black eyes, suffered a concussion so he ended up in the hospital.
On July 16, JJ decided to tell his side of the story on Twitter.

The 32-year-old single father and former investment banker was eliminated on The Bachelorette following his two-on-one date with Kaitlyn and Joe Bailey. He was known for his “brokeback bromance” with fellow contestant Clint Arlis. JJ will next be seen on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, which will kick off on August 2.
The Bachelorette airs Monday at 8pm on ABC.
