The CW finally unveiled its mid-season schedule today, though there isn’t much new to talk about. The only real gap in the network’s schedule came from Life Unexpected coming to an end, a problem being solved by the weight-loss reality show Shedding for the Wedding.
The new series will follow America’s Next Top Model, which returns for cycle 16 on February 23. Hellcats will then jump to Tuesdays at 9pm starting on January 25, taking over for Life Unexpected. Maybe this means in the spring we’ll get a One Tree Hill/Hellcats crossover event where Nathan Scott gets to be a special guest judge at the national cheerleading championship.
All the scripted CW shows will return the week of January 24, with the exception of Life Unexpected. The family drama will have its two-hour series finale on January 18, exactly one year after it first premiered.
As for the new show, Shedding for the Wedding is basically The Biggest Loser where engaged couples compete to lost weight on their way to the altar. It’s kind of like Bridalplasty, only without the complete moral bankruptcy.
