The CW is feeling cheerful about the new slate of shows and, according to EW.com, the network has ordered additional episodes and scripts for One Tree Hill, The Vampire Diaries and Melrose Place.
For One Tree Hill, the network is enjoying the new direction of season 7 and has officially picked it up for the full season.
The network also ordered nine additional scripts for The Vampire Diaries, Thursday night’s newest hit that received the network’s highest rating ever for a series premiere. While the script order isn’t a commitment to actually air the additional episodes, it’s a positive sign that The Vampire Diaries is destined for a full season.
The final additional pick-up from the network was ordering six additional scripts for the new Melrose Place. The move is a bit of a half-step, because the show hasn’t done particularly well in the ratings, but recent news that Heather Locklear will show up in November might give Melrose Place renewed hope.
However, there is still no news on The Beautiful Life, as the network was likely waiting for the second episode, which only got 1.1 million viewers. In other words, the end is probably near for the modeling drama.
