The CW is going to look very, very similar next season. The network has officially renewed all 10 shows currently on the air, as well as Reign.
This means freshman series like Legends of Tomorrow and the low-rated Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will both be returning for the 2016-2017 TV season. Hits like The Flash and Arrow are also coming back, as well as The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, iZombie, The 100, Jane the Virgin and Supernatural, the network’s longest-running show.
This mass renewal is most likely bad news for the network’s pilot season. While the CW has ordered six pilots, the fact that there are already 11 hour-long scripted shows coming back leaves little room for new content, especially if Containment, the only new show of the season yet to premiere, is a hit as well.
As for big milestones, the renewals ensure that, most likely in November or December, Supernatural will reach its 250th episode while Arrow will air its 100th episode.
Here’s the breakdown of the shows and seasons that have been renewed on the CW for the 2016-2017 TV season.
Supernatural season 12
The Vampire Diaries season 8

The Originals season 4
The 100 season 4
