The CW isn’t taking the summer off. Unlike in past seasons, the network has already started airing new programming over the summer with The Catalina on Tuesdays and Breaking Pointe on Thursdays. Now the network has released the rest of its summer schedule, including the second season of The L.A. Complex, a new singing competition and a very early premiere for the next cycle of America’s Next Top Model.
The first seven episodes of The L.A. Complex‘s second season will begin Tuesday, July 17 at 9pm (following the first season, which is reairing in that time slot). The Canadian import stars Firefly’s Jewel Staite and centers on aspiring stars in Hollywood.
America’s Next Top Model will begin its college-themed 19th cycle on its new night starting Friday, August 24 at 8pm. The early start puts it out of sync with the rest of the CW’s fall line-up, but also lets it premiere before other networks start their fall programming.
Remodeled, a reality series that aired in January and February this year, will return to the CW’s schedule with new episodes Mondays at 9pm starting July 9.
As for new shows, The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep will premiere Thursday, August 16 at 9pm. The reality competition series from executive producer Queen Latifah will feature Gloria Estefan, John Rich, Nelly and Joe Jonas as its mentors.
Finally, Oh Sit! premieres Wednesday, August 15 at 8pm. The show is basically Wipeout crossed with musical chairs, where 12 contestants compete in a series of five challenges to earn one of the remaining chairs.
