The CW has finally revealed its mid-season plans, with premiere dates for returning shows like The 100, iZombie and the final season of The Originals. The network also set a premiere date for the new dramedy Life Sentence and announced plans to move Dynasty to Fridays (not a good sign).
Legends of Tomorrow Moves to Mondays, Replacing Supergirl>>>
iZombie will kick off season 4 on Monday, February 26 at 9/8c, taking over after Valor ends its first season and after the Winter Olympics are over.
On Wednesday, March 7, the new dramedy Life Sentence will take over at 9/8c, replacing Dynasty. The new show features Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale as a young woman who was diagnosed with terminal cancer and lives her short life to the fullest knowing it will end. But then she’s cured, and she must learn to deal with the fact that she actually has a life.
The CW Sets Black Lightning Premiere Date>>>
That week, Dynasty will move to Fridays at 8/7c starting on March 9, taking over once Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is over. The move isn’t a ringing endorsement of the show’s prospects for renewal.
Jane the Virgin will air its season 4 finale on Friday, April 13 at 9/8c. The following week, on April 20, The Originals will take over the time slot with the premiere of its fifth and final season.
First Look at The 100 Season 5>>>
Finally, The 100 will air its fifth season starting Tuesday, April 24 at 9/8c once Black Lightning ends its first season. That seems appropriate since Black Lightning features a villain gang called the One Hundred.
